OLD AGE HOME
A roof over their heads is a critical need of the elder who are destitute, sick and abandoned by family . LIFE LINE TRUST has
established old age home for the senior citizens and aged in Malerkotla in Punjab. The NGO says, “Another area we would
look into is that of constructing buildings and maintaining villas where the elderly can stay and organizing recreational facilities for
them alongside so that they can spend their remaining years in dignity. Today, we support senior citizens for their nutrition and
shelter, and ensure the good physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being of each. An old age home is usually a place, a
home for those old people who have no one to
look after them or those who have been thrown out of their homes by their children. This is a misconception. The place is of course
like home where the inmates get free all the facilities for a routine living, like food, clothing, medical and shelter.
DRUG ADDICTION AWARENESS PROGRAM
Our Drug awareness Program aims to educate children & youth about the ill-effects of drug abuse and generate positive peer
influence. Institutions in Punjab have formed groups to make youngsters aware about drug addiction. This programme is key to
Punjab's fight against drugs as it covers the adolescent age group and young adults between 18 to 25 years who are the most vulnerable
group of people as far as drug usage is
concerned.
On the prevention front, youth through the drug awareness Program develop knowledge, the right attitude and behaviour along with skills to prevent drug abuse.
· Building awareness and educating people about ill effects of drug abuse.
· Dealing with the addicts through programme of motivational counselling, treatment, follow-up and social-reintegration of recovered addicts.
Women emporement
This programme initiatives that would enhance women’s access to secure livelihoods & economic resources, lessen their extreme
responsibilities with regard to housework, eradicate legal obstacles to their participation in public life, and increase social awareness
through effective programmes of education and mass communication.
