:(i)   Reduce Sharing of Needle/Syringes by which HIV virus spreads very quickly.

When we Provide Needle/     Syringes   as    per    their   demand,   we

can   reduce   the    percentage   of   Sharing.

ART Treatment as  soon  as    possible.

Coverage:

We reached up to 300 IDUs & 200 FSWs and there Partner to whom we provide our services in Daily Routine in the MALERKOTLA District

. Out of IDUs we found HIV Infected HRG and started their treatment, and currently they live a normal life. We Started medicine of

HRGs on OOAT & on Opioid Substitution Therapy.

Strategy:

(i)  The promotion and provision of Condoms to HRGs to promote their use in each sexual encounter.

(ii)  Provision or referral for STI services including counselling at service provision centres to increase compliance of patients with

treatment, risk reduction counselling with focus on partner referral and management.

(iii)   Needle and Syringe exchange for IDUs as well as scaling up of Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST)/OOAT       provision.

(iv)  Behaviour Change Communications (BCC) is very useful for creating awareness about risk and vulnerability.

Outcome:

Programme planning and management responsibilities will be strengthened at TI levels to ensure high

quality, timely and effective implementation of field level activities and desired programmatic outcomes. Testing is the most important

factor to find the Status of HRGs. It is envisaged that greater adherence and compliance would be possible with a wide network

of treatment facilities positive prevention and better linkages with health care providers.

OLD AGE HOME

A roof over their heads is a critical need of the elder who are destitute, sick and abandoned by family . LIFE LINE TRUST has

established old age home for the senior citizens and aged in Malerkotla in Punjab. The NGO says, “Another area we would

look into is that of constructing buildings and maintaining villas where the elderly can stay and organizing recreational facilities for

them alongside so that they can spend their remaining years in dignity. Today, we support senior citizens for their nutrition and

shelter, and ensure the good physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well-being of each. An old age home is usually a place, a

home for those old people who have no one to

look after them or those who have been thrown out of their homes by their children. This is a misconception. The place is of course

like home where the inmates get free all the facilities for a routine living, like food, clothing, medical and shelter.

DRUG ADDICTION AWARENESS PROGRAM

Our Drug awareness Program aims to educate children & youth about the ill-effects of drug abuse and generate positive peer

influence. Institutions in Punjab have formed groups to make youngsters aware about drug addiction. This programme is key to

Punjab's fight against drugs as it covers the adolescent age group and young adults between 18 to 25 years who are the most vulnerable

group of people as far as drug usage is

 concerned.

On the prevention front, youth through the drug awareness Program develop knowledge, the right attitude and behaviour along with skills to prevent drug abuse.

·         Building awareness and educating people about ill effects of drug abuse.

·         Dealing with the addicts through programme of motivational counselling, treatment, follow-up and social-reintegration of recovered addicts.

Women emporement

This programme initiatives that would enhance women’s access to secure livelihoods & economic resources, lessen their extreme

responsibilities with regard to housework, eradicate legal obstacles to their participation in public life, and increase social awareness

through effective programmes of education and mass communication.
